魂 means Soul
In Japan we use the word “魂(たましい-tamashii)” for the English word “Soul”.
And we have a few similar meaning words which are also translated as “soul” or “Spirit”. Here are a couple of examples; “霊魂(れいこん-reikon)” and just “霊(れい-rei)”. And the kanji word “霊” is often used for “Ghost” in Japan.
