Hi,
My name in Katakana is コレット (koretto).
I asked to have an artist chop sculpted with Japanese kanji for my sumi-e painting and shodo calligraphy work.
This is what was presented : 科 莱 特
I think the kanji characters are phonetic Chinese kanji. Is this how you would write my name in Japanese kanji ?
Thank you and have a good day!
Colette
Hi Colette
Thank you for visiting and contacting me.
The following my ideas are also phonetic Japanese kanji names for your name Coletto.
However I think these Kanji characters are used pretty well as “落款印(Rakkanin)” name for Japanese calligraphy or painting works.
小烈斗
子烈斗
湖烈斗
孤烈斗
虎烈斗
Each kanji of these names have following meanings.
小: small, 子: child, 湖: lake, 孤: fox, 虎: tiger,
烈: intense, furious etc, 斗: name of the constellation of the South and North Pole
If you want to have other name ideas, please let me know again.
Thank you.
